Kitchen can easily get dull why not create a wall like this, simple and very attractive as a divition between kitchen and hall. Do stick to maximal 4 different shapes of containers.

At the headquarters it was really time to decorate, so we bought some apples, as red as possible. We put the apple loosely through some egg yolk and than sprinkle them with white sugar. Leave to rest for several hours, and the result looks like they have been frozen overnight. Lovely with some tealight holders in between and due to last for a couple of months.
