Musings of Nico Tijsen

Think big, when the opportunity occurs. Like with this huge classic planter painted white and filled with Snow berries. For the ultimate Nicolicious effect go for 1 kind of berry or flower. {these are made of silk from Riviera Maison.}

At the headquarters we are so smitten for these super tall olive branches, the way the are touching the ceiling is so subtle. So the Nicolicious tip on this is, don’t be afraid that branches touch the ceiling this add just that je nais sais quoi to your room. Special note doubling your cabinets is all ways a good idea it adds extra space and does make a room look larger.

At the headquarters we love details, such as this single Gerbera in a simple glass, the fuchsia Louis Vuitton city books in the background makes that the colour really pops!

Yet another Nicolicious tip on flowers: use slightly old fashioned flowers such as Fresia’s and Gerbera’s as a statement. So 15 bunches of 1 kind in one vase like shown on the picture, do not use greenery in this kind of arrangements and let the flowers speak in their beauty.

The beauty is so often in the simplicity of things, just a simple branch and an antique vase can work miracles on a side table in a hall.

Decorating with flowers can be such fun and so easy to do. Take a simple round tray put randomly some glass vases on it and fill them with the most pretty flowers available on the market. Fresh lilac,Allium and Scabiosa are setting the tone, all in tones of mauve. We at the Nicolicious headquarters are smitten.

We love roses especially in a whimsical arrangement as this, just simply arrange them loosely in a glass vase and voila. The best ones are from David Austin. The intoxing fragrance is beyond believe.
