Nicolicious on paintings. We probably all have a few standing in the attic or in a cellar these kinds of paintings which don’t fit in a interior. This is a very nice way to spruce them up, just stitch some nice pieces of fabric on it and voilà, a new piece de resistance is born. In this example the sails are been covered with fabric sails, i can imagine his could also be done with a skirt of a lady etc. etc. The effect will get bigger when there are more paintings like this hanging together.

Hakkasan London, I haven’t visit Hakkasan for a couple of years and got curious if it still has it. In a dark and dreary alley, you find the entrance of this restaurant. { I allways think it cant be here.} When one has entered, you are in for a surprise .A super chique restaurant with an Asian nightclub-esque atmosphere enfold in front of your eyes. The food is a mix of thai and chinese. The silvercod is the dish to experience. All the food is of excellent quality. Do not go there if you want a romantic night out, it can be noisy. Nicoliciously nice coffee: This perfect caffe latte was serves at the Bibendum restaurant after a superb crab salad, We are talking crab not surimi. The barista who made the latte should have an OBE. Bibendum, Brompton Cross London 02075815817.Oysterbar restaurant located in the Michelin building which alone is allready worth visiting.

Nicolicious on hats: The classic Panama hat can only be worn when temperatures rises above 32 degrees Celsius and preferable in countries around the Mediterranean. Wearing this lovely hat it occur to me that they would also be very nice on a wall, 20 or more to make a statement, very Nicolicious.

Nicolicious on rugs. Rugs are very importend in a living they blend the sitting area together. This example on the photo is made of sea grass and available in a wide variety of colours. The same effect can be achieved with sisal rugs or even woollen rugs. The golden rule for measuring a rug for your living room is: the sofa should not be on the edge as in the photo but, 1/3 underneath the sofa and minimal 40 cm sticking out on each side of the sofa { depending on the size of the sofa, if one has a very large sofa the carpet also has to grow.}

Nicolicious on Palma the Mallorca. For the traveller which loves a combination of city life and beach this maybe an interesting option. This is one of the most clean cities I have ever visited, which i must say is very pleasant. The main shopping street is Av. Jaume III, many Spanish brands are represented here, on the Passeig des Born you will find LV next to Zara and my favourite Spanish clothing and accessories brand Carolina Herrera. Lots of little boutiques are in side streets of these boulevards, actually shopping is nice in Palma, the Spanish have a slightly more classical style than in the west of Europe. The shop you don’t want to miss is Rialto Living on Carrer Sant Felou, the best store on the island! Beaches, don’t let anybody fool you near the city centre are no beaches. The nearest beach is Nassau beach 20 minutes walk from the city, in this area are some restaurants do not expect Ramatuelle beach life. The beaches at es Trenc are sandy and white and very touristy! { Let me add very very touristy.} Worthwhile visiting is the basilisk which looks like an gigantic sand castle. Dining and wining can be very good in Palma: Caballito de Mar serves outstanding sea food, reservation needed 971721074. Bungalow has a good reputation and was recommended, unfortunately i had no time to test it 971262738. The Nicolicious overall opinion of Palma the Mallorca is very nice for a city break 3 – 4 days is just perfect to catch some sun, and prowl around the city.

Cappuccino, we are not only talking about the coffee, but actually about a little chain of breakfast and lunch restaurants. Nice fresh fruit salads, juices and very good cappuccino! The best one to go in Palma is the one on conquistador 13.

Nicolicious on the beach: Being on a short city/ beach holiday break, I discovered this enchanting beach club just of the city centre of Palma de Mallorca. Relaxing and reclining sunbeds with 2 complementary towels, free flow of smoothies and sun cream provided by the ever so friendly staff. The sunset is one of the best features of this beach club { which actually hasn’t got a beach but only a pool}. The wine list is not very extensive but good enough, the food is like you expect on a beach club, the occasional burger and Caesar salad. You will have a Nicolicious day in this club!
