The bedroom should all ways be dressed to the highest level of Nicoliciousness. Meaning we like to layer: so double duvet covers and a minimum of 4 pillows. How often does one enter a hotel and thinks wow! A recent visit to Amsterdam most prestigious hotel evoked that feeling. A chandelier full of violins, stunning. This is the hotel to stay in Amsterdam. The suites are beautiful, with lots of surprises.

Recently I visited the pittoresque town of Schagen. Where I discovered a very nice restaurant, a so called hidden gem. Very pleasant staff serving fine cuisine, French orientated with surprising twists. Yes its worth the d-tour.
