Cordoba, we are in love with this charming city. It is really Spain as it should be. The picture of the Spanish caballero was shot in the royal stables which are worth visiting they are located next to the royal palace, at the end of september there are equestrian show which are really nice to visit.This city which is part of the Unesco restored cities is really worth visiting. The small cobbled streets are filled with Orange trees and charming little tapas bars. The cathedral is one of the city highlights. My advice is to visit this city for max. 2 days because it is rather small. { Sevilla is by far much bigger and has more to offer.}

Comeback: One of the most popular plants in the 70-ties is on a comeback the Nephrolepis fern. This plant adds a certain freshness in your interior. The Nicolicious tip on this plant is, think big and in an old terra cotta pot. Loves a bit of shade and needs a lot of water.

City report on Sevilla Spain: Standing in front of the beautiful palace in Parque Maria Louiza was one of the many highlights of Sevilla , built for the world exhibition in 1929. This is really a place to walk around and wonder, in the parc are also 2 museums. Around the Plaza Nuevo you will find a lot of boutiques and some one of a kind stores. Around Plaza Salvador you will find authentic Spanish stores which sell, original hats, flamenco dresses, costume jewellery really nice area to visit.The Real Alcazar one of the palaces of the royals which is still in use, is a really mesmerizing experience to visit, stunningly restored and well maintained gardens and grounds. We were pleasantly surprised with this city, it has a good change of being in the top of the Nicolicious Hotlist.

Made to measure: the most exquiste spanish caballero hats are made in this charming shop in Sevilla, they measure the exact size of one’s head, so the hat always fits perfectly. On the picture it is shown how it works in the top of the hat is a paper which is removed after measuring so the maker has the exact shape. There are only 2 shops in Andalusia which makes these hats. We do like the odd broche, especially these made from old dutch stamps and embellished with silver trimmings and pearls. Really highly original and affordable, they also carry a very nice range of decorated cameo’s. Located in the design capital of Holland, Eindhoven.
